Produced in partnership with the Olympic Park and the Macdonald Stewart Foundation, this temporary exhibition takes us back to 1976, a fascinating year during which two places imagined by Marius Dufresne attracted attention. Parc Maisonneuve, a grandiose nature park that he designed at the beginning of the 20th century, is undergoing significant transformations in its southern part: the installations and constructions of the Olympic complex will become the Olympic Park that we know today. But, on the neighboring site, in the shadow of the Olympics, the future of Maison Dufresne is seriously threatened given its advanced state of deterioration, after several years of abandonment. Citizen mobilization led to its classification as a historic monument by the Quebec government in 1976.
